Part-Time Butcher - Ro

Tampa, FL

Ro is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented butcher to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience handling, cutting, and preparing various types of meat while maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Cut, trim, debone, and grind meats such as beef, pork, poultry, and fish.
  • Use equipment like knives, slicers, grinders to process meat.
  • Package, weigh, label product
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper storage and temperature control of meat products.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, recommendations, and special orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a butcher or in meat processing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of different cuts of meat and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy meat products.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Culinary school diploma preferred.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Previous experience as a butcher preferred

Physical Requirements: 

  • Remain standing for extended periods of time.
  • Bending, squatting and lifting up to 20 lbs. for short distances.
  • Ability to work with varying noise levels
